Sister and brother? CLICK to read article
Umm.
Where do we draw the line?
Who cares about anything else, as long as I get my kicks, right? UGH.
I suppose people will want to "marry" their dogs next. EWWWW.
Another thought I got after happening upon this article was - People had probably better check into who they are gonna marry (or produce children with, since marriage is so screwed up now), since half the population don't know who their daddy is now.
My mom just recently met a new niece who we didn't know existed. I think it is a good thing she never met her brother and "fell in love" (what a crock) and produced poor disabled (most likely) children for the government (in other words - other people) to take care of....
Love is NOT SEX. I wish people would FIGURE THIS OUT.
Love is figuring out what is best for other people, and doing it whether you want to or not!
And you don't just "LOVE" one person (although most people who want to push away, or get rid of "traditional" marriage, don't just "LOVE" one person either, they "do" many - hence lovely diseases are their lot in life).
You LOVE many. So you don't just live your life trying to get your kicks. You live your life for others.
But that is obviously LOST on those who want to normalize "same sex relationships" as sexual.
Shoot. I have lots of same sex relationships. And I LOVE the people, too! I just don't have sex with everyone and/or anyone I happen to know or love. Because I realize that sex has a little something to do with reproduction (it wasn't a difficult concept for me, honestly) and that I want healthy and happy children who can grow up and have the same.
I wish the rest of the world would catch on to it!

Ok, so you don't think it is gross for men to have sex with men? What about this?

Peace, shmeace
Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009. Congratulations Mr President.
This person, on the Liberty Maven, has said exactly what I feel about it.
I also found this article by clicking a few very interesting links on The Liberty Maven's site.
It should worry people that our constitution is largely ignored by our governing persons, even though they've all sworn to uphold said constitution.
Liars, all.
I just wonder if NASA is gonna have to get their own (money) printing press soon. Or will it even matter, since they are trying to blow up the moon? lol
Back to Obama.
Has he started that "phased withdrawal" yet? Is he withdrawing troops from Iraq just to send them to Afghanistan? How is that peaceful?
I guess it is just as peaceful as Yasser Arafat... with his machine gun loving ways...
I guess he deserves it as much as Bush didn't, according to the people who hand out the awards... But I have serious reservations about their brains after reading the list of recipients for this award. It is scary that they hand out science awards, too.
No wonder "man-made" catastrophic global warming is scaring people.
We ARE glutton for dishonesty!

If Obama gets re-elected, we are glutton for ... dishonesty?
I just read this article and look what I saw:
U.S. and NATO deaths dropped in September over the previous two months — possibly due to the Muslim holy month of Ramadan or because no major offensives were launched. But since President Barack Obama's decision to send 21,000 more troops to curb the growing Taliban-led insurgency, international and civilian tolls have risen steadily.
Remember this presidential election debate?
OBAMA: Well, Brian, I am proud that I opposed this war from the start, because I thought that it would lead to the disastrous conditions that we’ve seen on the ground in Iraq.
What I’ve also said is if we’re going to send hundreds of thousands of our young men and women there, then they have to have the night-vision goggles, the Humvees that are reinforced, and the other equipment that they need to make sure that they come home safely.
But the American people have said, Republicans and Democrats, that it’s time to end this war.
I was in New Hampshire, talking to a woman at a townhall meeting. She started crying, standing up, saying, “I can’t breathe. My nephew’s been sent to Iraq.”
OBAMA: And, when I listen to mothers and father all across the country, they are telling me it’s time for us to come home.
I’m proud of the fact that I put forward a plan in January that mirrors what Congress ultimately adopted.
And it says there’s no military solution to this. We’ve got to have a political solution, begin a phased withdrawal, and make certain that we’ve got benchmarks in place so that the Iraqi people can make a determination about how they want to move forward.
What happened, Mr Obama? Reality hit? Poor George Bush, taking all this flak from Democrats when they DO THE EXACT SAME THING HE DID when put in the same position.
I personally would like to see our troops be brought home, as I know many of them, and it makes me sad that they are over there in the line of fire.
But radical changes do not happen when you elect the same old same old. They just don't.
UPDATE 10-08-09
Ok, ok, I see he is just getting ready to move the troops out of Iraq, but if that is so, I wonder why he just sent people over there? I know he did, because I have friends who just went... Leia o post completo...

People need to take care of themselves
After reading this article concerning the whole Health Care Debate, I really REALLY just feel like saying, "Told ya so."
Cuz seriously.
Morality is all about safety and health, if you get right down to it. Morality is respecting the proper things. Proper things meaning healthier, safer things.
Basically people have stopped respecting the proper every day feelings that they have and instead respect the improper ones. Their conscience (which is powered by the proper feelings) is dulled so much by our society's forever clanging through their heads - "if it feels good do it!"
They respect that feeling they have of "I want" instead of the ever repressed one of "this is good for me"
So, in essence, philosophically speaking, they respect the devil and not God. :)
According to the article:
There’s no doubt that the bulk of the nation’s health care costs are self-inflicted. Smoking, high blood pressure and being overweight are the top risks for early death, accounting for more than 1 million premature deaths each year, with physical inactivity, high blood sugar and alcohol use not far behind, according to an April study by the Harvard School of Public Health.
The price tag for obesity has soared to $147 billion a year, new government studies show, and smoking costs about $193 billion in medical expenses and lost productivity.
People obviously do not take care of themselves properly here in America the Used-to-be-beautiful-but-now-mostly-fat-and-wrinkly.
I know. I am a people who doesn't take care of herself.
It is a struggle for me not to sit down and eat a whole box of the processed sugar and carbs known as fudge rounds.
It is a struggle for most people, even if they don't admit it. Their poison may not be fudge rounds. Perhaps it is potato chips... or cigarettes... or Mountain Dew Code Red... or Alcohol... or other drugs... or .... sex...
I know, I know. I always come back to it. But, really, look at this debate and see how people are abusing themselves and then expecting others to pay for it. It is equally divided over sex, over-eating/inactivity, drugs, etc.
It is not easy to be good always, obviously. People fail. That is just what people do. The christians and the nonreligious alike. I, for instance, fail almost daily and I am a christian.
The difference is that when christians fall into the trap, they realize it is a trap and they will try to get out of it and back on the good wagon. (Otherwise they are not "practicing" christians.) And so they can have better "luck" with staying healthy.
Others do not even see the trap! So they wander around this life like lost children, looking to doctors to make them better after they reap the rewards of riotous living caused by their "I want" attitudes.
I have seen it too many times. I have lived it. It is not pretty! But the problem is, that society makes it look like it IS pretty, in that you-can-be-a-star pornographic way.
I wanted to include an ad I have seen several times at the movie theater here, but couldn't find it online anywhere. Perhaps you have seen it?
You see "pretty" and "cool" and "hard-working" people smoking (they sort of each morph into the next character) and the dialogue is saying something about how Hollywood (or someone) makes smoking look good, but then it ends with a very near-death looking man sitting in a hospital room on a ventilator and he says that smoking actually makes you into this.
Very good ad. Very true portrait of how things really are in our society today, and not only smoking, but many other things.
"It" looks fun, pretty, cool, but in reality "it" will put you in the hospital, a hospital that is in no way free, btw.
"It" = indulging in not-so-good things or even over-indulging in good things Leia o post completo...
